Three Strand Rope

Three Strand Rope

Three strand ropes are used for lead ropes as well as for pack ropes and a wide variety of other utility applications.  They are very easily spliced, making them popular with the layman and professional alike.

COTTON 3 STRAND

Cotton is widely used as a lead rope, tie down rope, as well as for hobbles. Being a natural fiber it will not burn the person or the animal when put under tension.  Our cotton is made from 100% cotton fibers, unlike many other suppliers who use a blend of cotton and synthetic rug and other scrap yarns.

Stock colors:  white only
Stock sizes:  1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1"

SPUN NYLON 3 STRAND

Used when a stronger, longer lasting rope than cotton is desired.  The spun (fuzzy) yarns make it similar to cotton in feel, but not quite.

Stock colors:  white only
Stock sizes:  1/2", 9/16", 5/8"

MULTILINE

Manufactured by New England Ropes, Multiline is a blend of spun polyester, filament polyester, and polypropylene.  It has a very nice hand and will not get stiff when it freezes as it does not absorb  water like other ropes do.  This rope makes great leads as well as pack or "manny" ropes.

Stock colors:  white with an orange tracer
Stock sizes:  5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1"

NATURAL HEMP

Made from industrial hemp fibers, not manilla, this rope has a surprisingly soft feel to it like cotton, but is much stronger.  Manufactured in Holland and newly re-introduced to this country.

Stock colors:  natural tan only
Stock sizes:  3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1"
